Benetel Integrates its RU with Radisys 5G RAN Software to Enable OpenRAN Deployments

Dublin, Ireland and Hillsboro, OR, U.S. – 5 January 2021 – Benetel, a leader in advanced 4G and 5G solutions for future telecommunications infrastructure, today announced that it has integrated its Radio Unit (RU) with Radisys’ 5G NR OpenRAN software to enable OpenRAN deployments for communication, industrial and private network markets. In addition to the new 5G solution, the two companies executed a licensing agreement for Radisys’ LTE software to allow its distribution with Benetel’s eNodeB radio platforms.
