On November 1, 2015, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, aka HPE, started life as a new company with a 75 year legacy of innovation. This innovation is apparent in the HPE OpenNFV Partner Program. The program’s goal is to enable CSPs to bring innovative new services to market faster with an agile and elastic virtual network. We’re pleased to share that our MediaEngine Virtualized MRF (vMRF) has been validated by HPE.
We’ve optimized our vMRF for cloud deployment; it delivers to CSPs a pre-validated Virtual Network Function, integrated with HPE’s OpenNFV cloud infrastructure, to deliver the scalable media processing they need along with performance and reliability. By leveraging a pre-integrated, pre-validated system, CSPs can accelerate their new service deployment while minimizing risk.
HPE’s open standards-based OpenNFV architecture uses Open Source technology as the foundation for the NFV Platform. Through its large partner ecosystem, HPE has added the necessary service functions, such as our vMRF, and integrated them into the reference architecture to fulfill the NFV promise for CSPs.
As the undisputed industry leaders in media processing and MRF, we bring more than 15 years’ experience in deploying media processing solutions for CSPs, and we have more deployed ports than anyone in the industry. This additional industry validation from HPE for our vMRF as part of its cloud infrastructure furthers our own legacy.
Real-time media processing in the cloud can be tricky. It comes with strict performance requirements for minimal latency and jitter and presents new challenges for deploying a virtualized MRF over hypervisor technology in a cloud infrastructure. Our vMRF overcomes these challenges with no sacrifice to network performance or quality. And it enables CSPs to drive cost out of their services delivery platform by consolidating all media processing in their network onto a shared application and service agnostic platform. Through this partnership with HPE, CSPs deploying a virtualized IMS infrastructure can deliver carrier-grade HD media processing capabilities with the benefits of cloud elasticity, scale and infrastructure reusability.
HPE will be spotlighting its OpenNFV solutions at HP Discover 2015, taking place December 1-3 in London. To learn more about our MediaEngine vMRF solution or to speak with our media processing experts, contact us today.
