Radisys Partners with AccelerComm to Advance 5G Satellite Innovation with UK Space Agency Funding

Radisys is pleased to announce a joint project with AccelerComm, which has secured funding from the UK Space Agency’s International Bilateral Fund (IBF) to accelerate the development of next-generation Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs).

Under this collaboration, AccelerComm’s advanced physical-layer (PHY) technology will be integrated into Radisys’s lab in India to enable joint research, demonstrations, and field-ready solutions for satellite and telecom customers. Radisys brings deep 3GPP expertise and proven experience in developing RAN and software components for satellite payloads, which will complement AccelerComm’s space-proven, power-efficient PHY solutions.

This partnership strengthens Radisys’s commitment to open telecom standards and innovation in non-terrestrial systems. Together, with the support of the UK Space Agency, Radisys and AccelerComm aim to enable scalable, high-performance 5G connectivity for users anywhere—on Earth or via spaceborne networks.
