2020 Small Cell Forum Award - Outstanding Contribution to Open RAN Winner

July 1, 2020

Radisys has been selected as a Small Cell Forum Award winner in the Outstanding Contribution to Open RAN category for contributing its Open 5G Software Seed Code to the O-RAN Alliance's 5G NR Stack Reference Architecture to accelerate the O-RAN ecosystem and enable the delivery of open APIs and open architectures for mobile operators' 5G network buildouts.

In selecting Radisys to receive this award, the judges noted that “Radisys stood out for the depth and breadth of its contributions, recently and over past years, to several important initiatives which are driving forward open platforms. Such efforts can fall under the radar, but they are essential if open networks are to be based on robust, well-tested and widely deployable specifications.”
