Mahindra Comviva and Radisys Partner to Deliver Next-Gen VAS Services

Radisys’ MediaEngine media processing portfolio powers VoLTE, VoWiFi, WebRTC and cloud-based services for Mahindra Comviva’s portfolio

HILLSBORO, OR, February 2, 2016Radisys® Corporation (NASDAQ: RSYS), the services acceleration company, today announced that Mahindra Comviva, the global leader in providing mobility solutions, has integrated Radisys’ MediaEngine™ products with Mahindra Comviva’s value-added suite of products, including Caller Ring Back Tone (CRBT). By leveraging Radisys’ media processing solutions, Mahindra Comviva can deliver a complete solution to mobile operators, including integration and support services, for cloud-based VoLTE, VoWiFi and WebRTC. Mahindra Comviva has integrated both the MediaEngine Virtualized MRF (vMRF) and the MediaEngine MPX-12000 Broadband MRF, providing its customers the flexibility to choose the solution that meets their specific needs for real-time media processing.

“Radisys is the global market leader when it comes to media processing, bringing unmatched expertise in VoLTE deployments that we can leverage on behalf of our customers,” said Atul Madan, head of Digital Services, Mahindra Comviva. “We’ve chosen to integrate both Radisys’ virtualized MRF solution for cloud deployments as well as the company’s purpose-built MPX-12000 with industry-leading performance in order to meet any requirements for media processing that our customers throw at us.”

Radisys’ MediaEngine portfolio supports a OneMRF strategy for communications service providers: one media processing platform for many applications and services. This allows mobile operators to simplify their network, reduce CapEx and ongoing OpEx, and accelerate new service introduction.

“The integration of our MediaEngine portfolio with Mahindra Comviva’s value-added services solution offering extends our partnership with the company as well as our geographic reach into the more than 90 countries that Mahindra Comviva serves,” said Grant Henderson, vice president, MediaEngine and Corporate Marketing, Radisys. “With more than 30 VoLTE deployments under our belt, Radisys fills a vital link in the supply chain for companies such as Mahindra Comviva, helping them accelerate their time to market with minimized risk.”
