The mission of these awards is to honor excellence, innovation and hard work from among mobile and wireless technologies. The MobilityEngine 5G Software Suite joins the list of esteemed winners for the 2019 awards.

MobilityEngine includes Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB), a 3GPP Release 16 feature, a key use case for migrating Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) Market to 5G Capabilities. MobilityEngine supports the 28 GHz mmWave band to provide FWA to suburban residential homes where the access points (APs) are deployed on utility poles. The access-integrated backhaul shares the radio resources with the FWA while the remaining APs are backhauled wirelessly by using IAB, freeing a substantial amount of resources especially when multi-hop backhaul is considered.
